Parkhouse wins ‘Best Retail’ category at The Chip Show Awards

For the second year running we are delighted to have won another Chip Shop Award!

Parkhouse won the ‘Best Retail’ category for a prospective ad campaign for Toolstation. The campaign, “Tools of the Trade”, is quite cheeky and cynical, based on highlighting the incredible value that Toolstation products can provide to people willing to break the law. Even thieves need to buy their tools somewhere.

The Chip Shop Awards celebrate pure, unadulterated creativity. It’s a platform where anything and everything is allowed, an awards show with no rules and no boundaries meaning the possibilities are endless!

The Chip Shop Awards are an annual international design award competition that has been running since 2005. They are unique within the design industry – rather than rewarding work produced for existing clients, they instead celebrate speculative playful, cheeky, innovative design thinking.

Judges for this year’s awards included Creative Directors from design agencies such as: M&C Saatchi, TBWA, McCann New York, Taxi Studio.

The win follows up last year’s award win for Parkhouse in the ‘Best Leisure’ category, where we won a Chip with an idea for Parkrun. We’ve previously also won Chip Shop Awards with adverts for HMV and the Scottish Football Association. Over the years we’ve had a number of entries nominated, and receiving commendations, for work created by members of the design studio team.

Other entries for this year include John Lewis, P&O, Johnson & Johnson, Dignitas, Vax and Amazon.
